Hans was raised in Savannah, Georgia. At age fifteen, he and his family moved to Kentucky to be closer to his mother’s family. Hans majored in finance and minored in philosophy while at the University of Louisville. He worked his way through college while working third-shift part time at United Parcel Service. Quickly promoted several times, by his senior year he had advanced to a full-time position as a financial analyst in United Parcel Service’s Air Group where he analyzed past aircraft fleet maintenance expenditures in order to make projections for the future.. While he certainly enjoyed putting his finance degree to work, Hans had already made plans to attend law school on scholarship. Law school was a natural fit for him and he made the Dean’s list all six semesters while at The Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. Brian Clare is a lifelong Louisvillian. He graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1979 and from Bellarmine College in 1983. Following two years of work for a national steel company, Brian embarked upon his legal career. He graduated from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 1988. Including his time as a clerk he has spent over 25 years building a practice with the same group of talented lawyers.   Brian is a founding member and on the Board of Directors for the Links Foundation. Participants in the foundation get together one weekend each summer and play two rounds of golf. All of the proceeds go to a different local charity, such as Maryhurst, Habitat for Humanity, St. Anthony’s Outreach or Pitt Academy, each year.

Attorney Kelly Todd joined Dolt, Thompson, Shepherd & Conway, PSC as a legal assistant in 2014. Since that time, Attorney Todd worked on several medical malpractice and personal injury claims, and was promoted to an attorney position in 2016. Attorney Todd practiced law in Michigan at Strategic Legal Solutions and Immigration Law, PLLC, giving her a broad range of legal experience that she now uses to build comprehensive cases strategies for our Kentucky clients. Kelly also completed an externship with the Wright-Patterson Air Force JAG office, where she worked alongside Capt. Lauren Rosenblatt in the Office of the Staff Judge Advocates on military law cases.
