Ms. Laura Owings moved to Memphis at the early age of seven. She graduated from Evangelical Christian School in 1998 and received her baccalaureate degree from Baylor University where she was a Provost Scholarship Recipient, 1998-2002. While a law student at the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, Ms. Owings received the Dean's Distinguished Service Award, 2006, and was the William B. Leffler Scholarship Recipient, 2003-2004. She also served as a Notes and Comments Editor for The University of Memphis Law Review. Prior to joining Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz, Ms. Owings completed a summer internship with the United States Postal Service, Law Department, and has worked as a technical writer at International Paper Company. Mark N. Geller, who is bilingual in Spanish, graduated with honors from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. During his studies, he participated in Moot Court and the Order of the Barristers. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Geller worked as a biochemist for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. In 2012, he was invited by the National Trial Lawyers Association to be a member in their Top 40 Under 40. Mr. Geller’s primary area of practice is nursing home litigation and he chairs the firm’s Nursing Home Practice Group. In addition, he participates in personal injury and workers' compensation cases. Corey B. Trotz is a founding member and Senior Partner of Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz, PLC. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Law Clerk for two Shelby County Circuit Court Judges, The Honorable Wyeth Chandler and The Honorable Charles O. McPherson, Circuit Court Judges of Shelby County, Tennessee. Mr. Trotz’s areas of practice include personal injury, automobile and trucking accident cases, workers’ compensation, products liability and civil litigation. Mr. Trotz has been a featured speaker at the University of Memphis School of Law and the Memphis Bar Association, and he regularly speaks about legal issues throughout the area. He authored the chapter "Important Pointers for Today's Plaintiff's Attorney in Presenting and Winning Cases" which was published in 2011 by Thompson Reuters in the book Inside the Minds: Representing Plaintiffs in Personal Injury Cases.
