She also participated in internships with the Wisconsin Department of Justice Civil Litigation Unit, the Consumer Law Litigation Clinic, and Judge John Coffey of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.. Kelly is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bar Association and the Association for Women Lawyers. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Economic Justice Institute (EJI) of the University of Wisconsin Law School’s civil, anti-poverty clinical programs which include the Consumer Law Clinic, the Family Court Assistance Project, the Neighborhood Law Project and Foreclosure Mediation Clinic. After graduation, Kristin served as law clerk to a Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge and worked as a law clerk with the Law Office of Frank Joseph Schiro, Ltd. during summers of 2004-2006, and has worked in that office as an attorney since 2008..
