Attorney Kristin Leaf (fka Hodorowski) has a wide range of litigation experience in criminal defense, civil litigation, wrongful death actions, minor settlements, personal injury, guardianship, paternity, and family law, and civil and criminal appeals.  Kristin also has experience in transactional matters, in reviewing and negotiating contractual agreements, prenuptial and marital property agreements.. Kristin understands the emotional strain and stress that accompanies litigation and treats her clients with respect and compassion.  Attorneys Kristin Leaf and Frank Schiro work together as a litigation team and are committed to obtaining the best possible results for clients.. In 2011, Kristin and Frank celebrated the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s reversal of their client’s criminal conviction, following their commitment to thoughtful preparation and hard work at every level of a very long road of litigation and appeals.  (See State v. Gonzalez, 2011 WI 83.). Kristin was raised in Mequon and has lived most of her adult life in the greater Milwaukee area.  Kristin received her bachelor’s degree in 2004 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she majored in philosophy, was on the UWM Dance Team, National Ski Patrol, and a paralegal and officer of the UWM University Legal Clinic.  In 2007, Kristin received her J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where she served as the founding president of the WMCL Golf Club.. After graduation, Kristin served as law clerk to a Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge and worked as a law clerk with the Law Office of Frank Joseph Schiro, Ltd. during summers of 2004-2006, and has worked in that office as an attorney since 2008.. Kristin’s favorite “away from the office” hobbies include reading, gardening, and boating.
