As a third year student, Michelle completed an internship with the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s Office in the Milwaukee County Trial Division where she gained valuable courtroom experience. Throughout law school, she was a St. Thomas More Scholar and received five CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for earning the top grade in her Appellate Writing and Advocacy, Civil Pretrial Practice, Mediation Advocacy, Negotiation Workshop, and Comparative Criminal Law and Procedure in Spanish courses. Michelle also volunteered at the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic and became a member of the Pro Bono Society after completing over 50-hours of pro bono work in the Milwaukee community.. Prior to beginning law school, Michelle was a Pre-Law Scholar at Marquette University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Language and Literature in July of 2013 magna cum laude.. Michelle was born and raised in West Bend, Wisconsin. She currently resides in West Bend, Wisconsin.. Outside the practice of law, Michelle enjoys boating with her husband and spending time with her family and friends. She is also an avid runner and participates in several half marathons each year.
