Our loved ones are often the reason we work so hard. My job is to help you make sure your loved ones are properly cared for and to preserve your resources for their benefit.. Becoming a new father really brought this into perspective for me. I took plenty of time to do some “liquid living:" some time in Colorado, a trip around the world, learning another language. As a result, I feel I can bring a unique perspective to the estate planning process.. My purpose is to help clients understand how to handle unexpected events in their lives. For example, if you can no longer take care of yourself or there has been a death in the family:. · How is the mortgage going to be paid?. · Who can get money out of my accounts to pay for food?. · Who is going to take care of my kids and how is that going to be determined?. · Will my children have to move?. A lot of us are concerned about something happening to us that will be a burden on the rest of our family. We also worry about causing a significant impact on their ability to live their lives. A lot of planning goes into dealing with incapacity because that can often be more trying than a death in the family.. Estate planning is important to me because it is the process used to manage those issues. It helps people know those issues are taken care of and allows them to focus on things that are more fulfilling in their personal and professional lives.. I work with financial planners, accountants, insurance companies and other professionals to figure out the best way to take care of your family based on your values.. I enjoy providing solutions that help people have the peace of mind that their family will be taken care of if they cannot do it themselves. I also take pride in using the time to find the right fit based on my clients’ values; ensure they understand the available options and are actively engaged in the process. I focus on my clients’ personalities, goals, and values to provide a tailored estate planning solution. That is why I went to law school – to learn how I can help people.. If an estate planning consultation will help you feel better about how your loved ones will be taken care of after something happens, please set up a consultation and fill out and return our Estate Planning Deficiencies Checklist.

Litigation is more about resolving problems consistent with the client's needs and desires than the glorified courtroom battles you commonly see portrayed on television programs. In order to be an effective litigator, you have to be able to communicate with a wide range of people--your clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, mediators, arbitrators and judges. After all, a lawyer's stock in trade is the ability to communicate. I pride myself on my ability to communicate with people from all backgrounds by explaining the issues of a particular case or dispute in a way that makes sense to them, while also having the skills to make well organized and articulate arguments to a judge or jury on behalf of my client.

I work for the Milwauke County Clerk of Courts as Legal Counsel to the Children's Court Division. In my current position I provide legal support to the Clerk of Courts as well as the Judges at Children's Court. I process termination of parental rights cases, adoptions, and private guardianship filings.. Previously I worked with the Public Defender's Office where I represented juveniles up to age 17 who are charged with delinquency cases. I have handled a variety of different criminal cases including homicide cases, sexual assaults, robberies, batteries, drug cases, simple misdemeanors, and expungements. I also represented juveniles between the ages of 12 and 21 on Child in Need of Protecion or Services (CHIPS) and Juvenile in Need of Protection or Services (JIPS) cases. Additionally, I represented parents in Termination of Parental Rights cases.
I have over twenty years of experience in the legal field. Most of my career has been spent working in the area of personal injury. First, I worked for the insurance industry. Then, I worked for the large personal injury law firms that advertise on TV. I left all of that to start my own practice so that I could give the best quality service to my clients in a small office settling while still delivering the greatest results. In order to best serve their personal injury clients, lawyers need to be able to spend time listening to them, understanding how the injuries affected each individual client. The insurance companies want to treat us all like numbers and assume that all people respond the same way to a given injury. I know that isn't true. The more time I spend listending to my clients in an effort to understand how their injuries changed their lives, the better advocate I am for them against the insurance companies. Don't settle for a lawfirm that will treat you just like the insurance companies do, choose Krabbe Law Offices, LLC, where you will be heard.
