In his spare time, Marcus supports the local South Florida professional sports teams (especially the Florida Panthers and Miami Heat), and as a University of Miami alum, the Hurricanes. He can be found skating for one of his two adult hockey league teams, on a softball field chasing down fly balls in the outfield, or in front of a TV cheering and willing his fantasy sports franchise, The Jabronis, to victory.

I focus my practice in the area of landlord-tenant law representing landlords and property management companies.I handle both commercial and residential evictions and the accompanying damage claims for my clients throughout the state.  I also handle litigation dealing with lead-based paint issues, bed bugs, Fair Housing (discrimination) claims, building code orders, public nuisance lawsuits, building code orders, and the defense of Wisconsin Administrative Code - ATCP 134 violations and investigations.. I assist clients with the drafting and interpretation of commercial leases and residential rental agreements and other rental documents and am the author of the landlord-tenant legal forms sold at Wisconsin Legal Blank Co., Inc. which are used throughout Wisconsin.. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Attorney Patrick Roney presently lives within the city limits with his wife and three children. Patrick’s father recently retired from the City of Milwaukee Comptroller's Office and his mother is a retired high school librarian.. Patrick attended Our Lady of Sorrows Grade School on 64th Street, just off of Capitol Drive. He attended high school at Pius XI High School, where he played varsity volleyball. It was in high school that Patrick began his commitment to the legal profession as an intern with the Wauwatosa Police Department.. After high school Patrick studied Psychology and Sociology at the University of Wisconsin Madison. While at UW Madison, Patrick took evening courses to become a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). To help pay his way through school, he worked part-time as an EMT for Bell Ambulance and the Elm Grove Rescue Squad.. Patrick is committed to serving the country. In 1998 he left Madison to serve as part of the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC). While in AmeriCoprs NCCC he worked as an EMT, wildland firefighter, disaster relief worker and aid worker for many community projects.. Upon returning to Wisconsin, Patrick completed undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree, suma cum laude, in 2000. He majored in both Psychology and Sociology.. After graduating from the UW Milwaukee, Patrick received a full scholarship to Marquette University Law School. While studying at Marquette Law, Patrick was a legal aid to Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Kitty Brennan. Judge Brennan now serves on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. Patrick completed his graduate law studies and received a Juris Doctorate degree in 2004. He continues to work closely with Marquette and in 2008 he served as coach to the Mediation Moot Court Team.. After being admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Federal Court of the United States - Eastern District of Wisconsin in May of 2004, Patrick began his legal career at Dowling & Blumefield, LLP, working on criminal, estate planning, and personal injury matters. In 2005, Patrick began working with Hills Legal Group, Ltd., as a defense attorney for complex civil and small claims personal injury matters.  In 2009, Patrick founded Roney Law Office, LLC, and in 2009, he merged with Attorney Evan E. Knupp and the two formed Roney & Knupp, LLC.
