Since joining May Oberfell Lorber in 2005, I have assisted business and individual clients in a wide variety of litigated including shareholder disputes, funeral home negligence matters, residential and commercial construction disputes, internet fraud,  and breach of contract actions.. I describe my representation as passionate and compassionate.  I passionately pursue my client's litigation objectives while taking the time to ensure the appropriate strategy for each client.. Katie is an associate at May Oberfell Lorber. Katie joined May Oberfell Lorber in 2014 as a summer associate. She now focuses her career in the areas of Commercial Law, Medical Malpractice, and Immigration.

I started at May Oberfell Lorber as a law clerk in 2000.  Upon graduation from law school, I became an associate, progressed to partnership, and have been with MOL ever since.  I am passionate about my career, and thankful to be surrounded by such talented attorneys at MOL and in our community in general.  I am licensed in both Indiana and Michigan, with the primary focus of my practice being litigation.  I defend health care providers in medical malpractice disputes, manufacturers in commercial litigation disputes, and landowners in premises liability disputes. I also counsel and represent clients in wrongful death claims, various commercial litigation matters, shareholder disputes, employment litigation disputes, and trust and estate litigation. I am also an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Notre Dame Law School where I teach a Deposition Skills course.  I am compassionate about animals and enjoy working out and spending time with my friends and family.
