Thank you for considering the Ferlmann Law Firm, the law firm for creditors.  In 2004, I  established this firm to concentrate my practice on exclusively representing creditors collecting both consumer and commercial obligations.  I am licensed to practice in California state courts and the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern, Northern and Central Districts of California. I represent clients throughout the Central Valley and Northern California.  In 2008, I was appointed to serve as a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee for the Eastern District Bankruptcy Court. This appointment and related experience has greatly expanded our expertise in handling our clients' claims in banruptcy related matters.     Since establishing this firm, we have collected millions of dollars for our clients. Our firm has grown due in large part to our hardworking, experienced staff and our aggressive, no-nonsense approach toward representing our clients. My office focuses on representing business entities in commercial/business related collection matters, creditor rights cases (including creditor bankruptcy representation), and general business related matters.  We also represent new and existing businesses in transactional matters such as contract formation and amendments, business formation and provide general business related legal advice.  The office has represented both large and small business entitles.. We currently represent, or previously have represented, a large vehicle leasing company, a large franchisor of retail automotive services/sales franchises, a California local agricultural milk cooperative, a walnut plant/distributor, agricultural based trucking businesses and feed sales entities.. This office provides as a secondary area family law legal services.   This includes, but is not limited to, dissolution of marriage cases, child custody  disputes, child and spousal support cases, paternity cases and collection of overdue child and spousal support.. This office also does basic estate planning for individuals and couples.  This includes preparing living trusts, wills, powers of attorney and related matters.. We stress actual ongoing contact between the attorney and the client for all matters.

I am a late arrival to the field of law. Following High School, I became employed as a baker while attempting to pursue a career in music. I was employed by Costco for over 20 years, and in that time, while keeping my love for music, I also entertained other hobbies. I received a black belt in Shudo-Kan karate from Master Ken Polite of Modesto, CA in 1990, a hobby I thoroughly enjoyed and one that helped me grow personally on many levels. I also became fascinated with guns and firearms related matters, such as ballistics and forensics, which has been helpful in the practice of criminal defense. Prior to attending law school I discovered a fascination with Astronomy through courses at Modesto Junior College with a truly wonderful professor, Dr. William Luebke. To simultaneously preserve a relationship with my wife of 27 years and maintain our family, provide for the household, and complete law school and ultimately pass the Bar exam, required hard work and persistence; these same traits drive me to do my best to become the most competent attorney I can, and to thereby better assist my clients.
