He also served two terms of public service through Americorps and was the director of a non-profit organization dedicated rehabilitating homes for veterans, seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income families.. Staying active in the community, Cody has advised many non-profits organizations and has served as the President of the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, the finance committee for Griman Medical Center, President of the Ray Michnicols Inn of Court, Vice President of the Second District Bar Association, and has served in an appointed position on the Second Distict Magistrate's Committee..
