I am a 1986 Honors graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology (B.S. Chemical Engineering). Though my background is in the Chemical Arts, I currently practice in the high tech area. I have both law firm and in-house experience, and practice with a business focus.
Lexi graduated Cum Laude from the Seattle University School of Law in 2014. She was a Finalist in Seattle University's Tausend Moot Court Competition in 2013 and went on to represent Seattle University in the National Moot Court Competition Regional Competition in 2014. She was an extern for the Honorable Stephen J. Dwyer in Division I of the Washington Court of Appeals in 2014. She received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Consumer Law and Remedies. She co-founded and presided over the Food Integrity Coalition at Seattle University during her time there. She also participated in Seattle University's Pro Bono Pledge Program, completing over 100 hours of pro bono legal service during her law school attendence, and received a Public Interest Law Foundation grant in 2012 for her work in consumer protection. She was a law clerk in the Consumer Protection Division of the Washington Attorney General's Office for two years, and in 2013 she received the American Bar Association's Steiger Fellowship to work both in the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Divisions. Prior to law school, she worked at an independent insurance brokerage providing employee benefits. In her free time, Lexi practices dressage with her horse and loves going for trail rides!
I am currently a solo attorney in Mukilteo, Washington and have significant experience in the area of juvenile law, handling mostly dependency and termination matters and also juvenile offender cases. I am also a dedicated advocate for children, having served more than 13 years as a Guardian ad Litem for dependent children. In addition, I have served as a judge and commissioner pro tempore at Snohomish County Juvenile Court, the family law and guardianship/probate courtrooms, and for mental health hearings for over ten years. As an experienced litigator, I also handle guardianship, elder law, estate planning, and family law matters.. Currently, I am the Chair of the WSBA Solo & Small Practice Section, a Past-President of the Snohomish County Bar Association, actively involved with the ABA Solo Small Firm & General Practice Division, I have served as a Washington delegate to the ABA House of Delegates and am currently an ABA at-large delegate to the House of Delegates, and I am a member of the Washington State CASA. I am licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington and U.S. Supreme Court.. When not in the office, I coach the Archbishop Murphy High School Mock Trial teams, and serve on numerous other boards and committees in my community. In my free time, I enjoy skiing, golfing, football, and baseball.
