Mr. Conrad J. Born and raised in Ohio, educated at Wittenberg University (B.A. 1966) and Duke University (J.D. 1969), Mr. Aiken first came to Idaho in 1969 to serve a one-year term as a judicial law clerk to Justice Allan Shepard of the Idaho Supreme Court.  He and his wife of over forty years have two grown children and three grandchildren.  Mr. Aiken is active in his community, having served as a member of the Idaho Management Committee for U.S. Bank, and for many years as a teacher and elder in a local Baptist Church.  He enjoys golf, running, sports of all kinds, and being with his family.

After moving to Boise to finish his legal education, in his final year of school Max clerked for the Honorable B. Lynn Winmill of the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho.. I got into bankruptcy law because when I was growing up we lost our house to foreclosure and later we also got evicted from another house. We were on welfare off and on. Financial problems never seemed to cease when I was a kid. I have real empathy for what my clients are going through. I know first hand how scary it can be. Although my parents did not have the tools to prevent some of the hardships, I now have the tools under the Bankruptcy Code to help my clients avoid some of the outcomes I had to deal with as a kid..
