Lauren Curry’s practice areas include general and commercial litigation, including contract disputes, employment disputes, and business torts.. Josh is a member of GSRM’s Litigation Section. He routinely represents clients in complex commercial litigation involving business torts, breach of contract claims, real estate disputes, land use planning and zoning matters, and intellectual property disputes. In addition, over the course of his career, Josh has handled complex electronic discovery matters, antitrust and trade practices litigation, debtor/creditor relations and bankruptcy proceedings, trust and estates litigation, and class action litigation. He has represented clients in jury and bench trials, appeals, arbitrations, mediations, and before numerous zoning authorities. Josh also counsels clients – ranging from entrepreneurs and churches to large corporate entities – on a variety of topics, including real estate matters, organizational and governance issues, and policies and procedures.. He is currently serving as the Co-Chair of the Nashville Bar Association’s Chancery and Circuit Courts Committee, and also is a member of the Real Estate and Federal Courts Committees.  In addition, Josh serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Nashville Conflict Resolution Center.  He also is a member of the Board of Directors of the Heritage Foundation of Franklin and Williamson County, as well as its Next Generation Board of Directors, both of which promote historic preservation in downtown Franklin, Tennessee.. Josh regularly speaks throughout Tennessee and Kentucky on a variety of topics, including real estate, zoning and land use planning, electronic discovery, social media, ethics and alternative dispute resolution.. Josh earned his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he served as an associate editor of the Kentucky Law Journal and vice president of the Equine Law Society. Josh also graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in journalism and political science, where he was co-editor-in-chief of The Kentuckian. Prior to joining the firm, Josh was a member of Bass, Berry & Sims, PLC and, before moving to Nashville 11 years ago, practiced with Stoll, Keenon & Park, LLP in Louisville, Kentucky.. I am a trial lawyer at Butler Snow LLP, where I handle a wide array of litigation matters in both state and federal courts.  After completing ROTC in undergraduate school at Bowling Green State University, the United States Air Force awarded me an educational delay of duty, affording me the opportunity to attend law school before serving as a JAG Officer in the United States Air Force.  In the JAG Corps, I gained extensive litigation experience, which has translated well into my current practice.  I have recently been involved in cases representing a large grocery store chain, a small interior design company, a family of a woman killed by a drunk driver, and a major pharmaceutical company.  I am a member of the American, Tennessee, and Nashville Bar Associations, and I am heavily involved in the Defense Research Institute in which I am the vice-chair of the SLDO subcommittee.

I am a trial attorney at Butler Snow. My practice primarily involves general business and tort litigation in state and federal courts as well as arbitration.  I have represented clients in cases involving general contract disputes, constitutional rights litigation, real property disputes, shareholder derivative suits, and covenants not to compete as well as personal injury, medical malpractice, and legal malpractice claims.. I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and attended high school at Memphis University School.  I graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University in 2010.  At Clemson, I received a Bachelor of Arts in communications and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. I was also a founding father of Clemson’s Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity chapter.. I obtained my law degree from Vanderbilt Law School in 2013, where I was named to the Order of the Coif. While at Vanderbilt, I received the VLS scholastic excellence award in Securities Regulation, Conflict of Laws, and Professional Responsibility. I also served as President of the Honor Council.. I am a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations. I currently serve on the Board of the Nashville Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division as well as the Board of Directors for the Children's Kindness Network. I am also an active member of the Emerging Leaders Society of Memphis University School and Chair of the legal committee for Nashville FC. I am licensed to practice law in Tennessee.
