Elks Lodge, a personal injury case that resulted in a decision from the Tennessee Supreme Court that changed longstanding Tennessee law.  Mr. Asher prepared the legal briefs and argued successfully before the Tennessee Supreme Court, obtaining a ruling that resulted in a significant financial savings for his client.. Mr. Asher is one of a very few lawyers across the country who is a member of The American Association of Nurse Attorneys.  His experience as a nurse and ability to resource with other nurse attorneys helps Mr. Asher in his ability to represent and defend clients in personal injury cases.. A native of Nashville, Mr. Asher resides in the city with his wife, Elizabeth, and two children. He has served as Vice President of West End Synagogue and on the Board of Trustees of Akiva School. Whileattending college, Richard worked as a law clerk at his father’s law office, andduring law school, Richard worked as a Deputy Clerk in the Circuit Court Clerk’sOffice for Davidson County, Tennessee. Upon graduating from law school, Richard served as Judicial Law Clerkfor the Honorable Marietta Shipley, Judge of the Second Circuit Court forDavidson County, Tennessee.. In privatepractice, Richard has primarily represented clients in divorce cases, probatematters, and conducted divorce and custody mediations.  Richard has been a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule31 Mediator since 1998, and has mediated hundreds of cases.. Mr. Ferrell often participates in seminars and as a panel speaker related to such insurance industry topics.
