Tom was born and raised in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and graduated from Goodrich High School. He attended Ripon College for undergraduate studies, where he stayed busy not only studying, but playing baseball, golf and hockey. Tom obtained his law degree in DeKalb, Illinois at Northern Illinois University in 1996. He returned to take the Wisconsin Bar and began practicing in Waupun and Green Lake until 2001 when he started his own firm in Ripon, Wisconsin. Tom also ran a solo practice in Ripon until 2009, when he moved to the Fox Cities to practice law focusing on consumer and business bankruptcy, financial matters and family law.
