Thomas earned his JD from the University of Chicago Law School whose enivironment of ideological diversity inculcated in him the ability to see legal issues from many different perspectives. The most enduring lesson Thomas acquired from his legal studies is that effective legal representation requires not only the ability to strongly argue on behalf of the client, but also the ability to understand and predict the arguments made by the opposition.. Outside of the law, Thomas has been involved with non-profit organizations rebuilding houses in New Orleans after Katrina, and environmental protection efforts after the BP oil spill. He is also a self-described "amateur musicologist" with an interest in pre-War jazz and blues, and a novice photographer.

Leo graduated cum laude from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and received the Bankruptcy Medal of Excellence.  He received a B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a starting wide receiver on the school’s Ivy League champion football team.. Upon graduating from law school, Leo clerked for The Honorable Margaret A. Mahoney, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Alabama.  He then worked for several years in the Commercial Litigation department at a large New Orleans law firm before beginning his solo law practice.  Currently, in addition to operating The Congeni Law Firm, Leo is affiliated with Emile L. Turner, Jr. in an of counsel capacity.  Mr. Turner has practiced in the field of bankruptcy law for over 35 years.. Leo is licensed to practice in the State of Louisiana and has been admitted to the Federal District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana and the Federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Christopher focuses on several practice areas including marine insurance coverage; bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors’ rights; and oil and gas.. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, Christopher graduated in 1994 from The College of William and Mary in Virginia. He received a B.A. with a double major in Politics and Religion. In December 1997, Christopher received a J.D. from Loyola University, New Orleans School of Law as well as an M.A. in Religious Studies from Loyola University, New Orleans. Prior to admission to the bar, Christopher clerked in the New Orleans office of the Office of the United States Trustee, Region V.. Since admission to the bar in 1998, Christopher has almost continuously acted as counsel for debtors, creditors, and creditor committees in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, including as counsel for the debtors in some of the largest bankruptcy cases filed in the Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana as well as in the Southern District of Alabama. Christopher has extensive experience in prosecuting and defending avoidance actions and other litigation before bankruptcy courts.. Christopher concentrates his practice on representation of debtors, creditors, and creditor committees in Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization cases, creditors in Chapter 7 and 13 cases, and creditors and defendants in all aspects of prosecution and defense of claims before bankruptcy courts and in related litigation before federal district courts. He also represents clients in other commercial litigation matters.
