At Regent, he was the Founder and First President of the law school's chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Int'l.  Prior to law school, he earned a Masters in Public Administration degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Christopher Newport University, in Newport News, Virginia. At CNU, he was a charter member of the Virginia Pi Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and a member of the Men's Tennis team..
