Attorney Karpf provides experienced advocacy, consultation, and mediation in a multitude of practice areas, including divorce, child custody, child support and alimony, domestic abuse, asset and income discovery, recovery and protection, trusts, estates,  pre- and post-nuptial agreements, fraud, alternative family structures, consumer protection, and small business litigation.. Attorney Karpf is a member of the Bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and of the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts, as well as a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation, the National Lawyers Guild, and the Massachusetts Association of Guardians ad Litem. He is certified to offer Limited Assistance Representation in all of the Probate and Family Courts of the Commonwealth.  He has been a source for intellectual property and discovery law in the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, taught business law at the undergraduate level, and is a parent, former foster parent, suburban homesteader, beekeeper, and sailor.

Amanda is a skilled litigator, trained mediator, and is certified in the Collaborative Law Process, focusing her practice on all areas of family law and probate litigation. Amanda firmly believes that the court is a tool rather than a weapon.  Putting contested issues before a judge for feedback while moving the case forward procedurally often allows clients to amicably resolve their disputes and move forward without a full trial.  Amanda is results oriented, always striving to get her clients a durable agreement whenever possible.. Amanda currently serves as a peer mentor at the Justice Bridge Legal Center, a nonprofit organization which focuses on providing affordable legal services and access to justice for those not otherwise served by the overtaxed legal aid system. Amanda is proud to have worked with Justice Bridge since the organization opened its doors in 2014, first as an attorney accepting referrals from the organization and later as a mentor to other attorneys.. Amanda is proud to have been selected for the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Leadership Academy program for the 2017-2018 year.

Actively involved in the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (“AFCC”), an international interdisciplinary organization of lawyers, judges and mental-health professionals dedicated to improving the court process for children. Actively involved with the Massachusetts Chapter of AFCC, a past President of the Massachusetts Chapter (2008-2009), Treasurer (2009-2012), and a board member (2004 – 2012).
