Winning 60% of the marital estate for a Wife who was the victim of adultery in a long-term marriage;. 8). Winning a Five-Year Restraining Order and Sole Legal Custody for a Woman the Victim of Physical Abuse;. 9.) Settling an Age/Gender Discrimination matter for $407,000. Having conducted approximately seventy civil trials to judgment/verdict, Halks is experienced with litigating a case from start to finish, including defending the victory on appeal. Seven of those trial were appealed by the losing party but Halks sucessfully defended all seven on appeal. My passion to help people less fortunate than myself initially led me to law school.  Upon graduating from Penn, I went to work for the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, New York in the Criminal Defense Division.  I worked there for a number of years, until my husband's job required us to move.  I continued to work as a public defender for many years, in many states, and helped an innumerable number of clients with their criminal and family law cases.  Ultimately, when i had my second child, I left public interest law, and went into private practice.  I have been in private practice since 2002, and i continue to take on pro bono cases so that i can help those less fortunate.. When i am not practicing law, you can find me volunteering in my children's elementary, middle and high school, on the tennis court, or out running the streets of Newton and Boston.

Prior to attending law school, she earned an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary (Psychology and Counseling), and a B.A. from Grinnell College (English).. David M. Bilodeau, is a partner of Goldstein & Bilodeau, PC., with his father-in-law, Howard Goldstein. He and Howard have practiced together since 2011.  David focuses his practice in domestic relations litigation with expertise in business valuation and other complex financial matters that relate to divorce (asset division, alimony, child support, tax analysis)..
