After his clerkship and before relocating to Florida, Joe worked in Atlanta for a few years both in the private sector and then with the federal government. He is the past president and current board member of the Broward Professional Alliance, Inc., and also serves on the Board of Advisors for the Center for Urologic Research, Education and Diseases (CURED), which is the private philanthropic research arm of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Department of Urology..
