Thank you for visiting my Avvo profile.  I have been practicing as a bankruptcy attorney in Omaha, Nebraska since October 2007.  Since 2007, I have consulted with over 3,000 individuals to discuss bankruptcy options.  Bankruptcy protection is not always the right solution and I work hard to help each client create a path for the best possible outcome.  I enjoy helping individuals and small businesses recover from financial troubles and take the responsibility seriously.

ROXANNE M. ALHEJAJ earned her B.A. degree with honors (magna cum laude) from Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska in 2002. She earned her Law Degree (J.D.) with honors (cum laude) from Creighton University School of Law in 2005.  She practices extensively in the areas of bankruptcy law, estate planning and probate in Nebraska and Iowa.  She is admitted to both the Federal and State Courts in Nebraska and Iowa and is a member of the Bar Associations in both states.   She has served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section and currently serves on the Bankruptcy Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association.  She is a contributing editor to West’s Bankruptcy Exemption Manual.

My practice focuses primarily on debtor/creditor rights, UCC issues, bankruptcy law, workouts, contract negotiations, and commercial litigation. I provide strategic and practical legal advice to debtors and creditors in Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy cases, out-of-court workouts, state and federal court proceedings and litigation, the acquisition or sale of assets, contract and lease drafting and negotiations, and business operations. I also counsel companies and individuals through complex disputes and situations and develops practical and creative solutions to solve unique problems in a timely fashion. This requires participation in multi-party negotiations with a focus on balanced and fair outcomes, as well as risk management and prevention. I also have a developed skill in taking complicated information and legal principles and presenting them to non-lawyers in a concise and easy-to-understand format.

I have a solo practice near downtown Omaha. It's easy to get to with lots of parking. My focus is on fincial difficulties that have impacted my clients but I also do family law, wills and probate

Hello everyone,. Thank you for viewing my Avvo profile.. A little bit about me and my firm:. I graduated in 1989 from the Creighton Univeristy School of law and started my own law firm from day one.  After a short while, I became very interested in bankruptcy law.  I love working with normal, everyday people and really enjoy helping them with financial problems.  There is no better feeling than seeing the stress, anxiety and depression be lifted from their faces!. My undergraduate degree at Creighton was in Computer Science.  Yes, that's a bit unusual, but I definitely chose the right path....even though I didn't know it at the time.  Bankruptcy is one of those law fields that numbers really matter.  Even the simplest bankruptcy requires a lot of detail and attention to numbers.  And, computers and technology dramatically improve the end result for my clients.. The firm is now over 28 years old and we have 4 full time bankruptcy attorneys!  We've seen just about everything there is to see when it comes to debt, lawsuits, garnishments, foreclosures, and you name it.  We have tons of experience to help our current and future clients..
