In January 2008, I opened my own practice, Jessica C.R. Buonauro, P.A., where I contnued to practice criminal and juvenile defense.. In January 2009, I had the distinct opportunity to argue an issue of first impression to the 5th District Court of Appeal regarding sealing and/or expunging criminal and civil arrest records. After my arguments in Kanji v. State, 4 So.3d 65 (5th DCA 2009), the 5th District Court of Appeal ruled that although a Judge has "sole discretion" to deny the sealing or expunging a criminal record, it is not unfettered discretion and he or she may not arbitrarily deny a sealing or expunction. While exercising his or her discretion, the Judge must consider all the facts and circumstances and may not deny the petition based solely on the nature of the crime.. As of March 1, 2015, Jessica C.R. Buonauro, P.A. has been renamed Roberge Law, P.A.. I am dedicated to my work and believe that EVERYONE deserves zealous advocation when they are charged with a crime in the State of Florida.. Thank you for taking the time to review my profile, please don’t hesitate to call my office and meet with me to discuss how I may be able to help you!

In 1983, immediately after having graduated Oak Ridge High School I passed the state examination and procured a Florida salesman's real estate license. Early in 1986 I became licensed in Florida as a real estate broker. The following year I graduated the University of Florida with a B.S.B.A. with a major concentration in Real Estate and Urban Analysis. After graduating from UF I became employed by Easley, McCaleb and Stallings as a Tax Representative. At Easley, I represented commercial property owners to assure that their properties were being equitably assessed for county property tax purposes. My territory included Hillsborough, Pinellas, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and counties including Marion and North into and throughout the Florida Panhandle. I also did work in Dade, Palm Beach and Broward Counties. My work gave me opportunities to appear before the Value Adjustment Boards and present cases as to how properties were being overassessed and why the tax values should be lowered. In the summer of 1989 I enrolled in law school at the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. I did this because I was of the belief that a legal education would enable me to better represent my clients and help people in general. In 1991 I finished law school and sat for and passed the Florida bar exam in February, 1992. Since becoming a lawyer I have represented property owners both informally with the Property Appraiser's office, before Value Adjustment Boards and also by filing lawsuits in Circuit Court. In early 1993 I became a member of the National, State and Local Boards of REALTORS. In 1998 I became a Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in Real Estate Law. Continuously from 2005 through 2017 I have been appointed as Special Magistrate to the Value Adjustment Boards in Orange and/or Volusia Counties where I heard testimony and weighed evidence presented from Petitioners, experts and County Representatives prior to submitting a recommendation to the Value Adjustment Board for a final decision. The issues would be addressed usually involved either entitltement to exemptions (Homestead Tax Exemption, etc.), property classifications (Agricultural), or SOH/Portability.. My practice is currently primarily limited to represenation of Buyers, representation of Sellers, performing real estate closings and the issuance of title insurance.. I would like to hear from you. If I'm unable to help you with a particular matter I would be happy to help you find someone who could help.
If you need help with Florida estate planning, probate, guardianship or business planning, email or call me to see if I can help you.. I love what I do because I have something that helps people. I have more "people skills" than most attorneys because of my flight attendant background.. I listen AND I return phone calls.. God gave me my practice and I always want to honor Him with it.

If you are reading this, you have likely hired my office for your case or you are searching for the best lawyer for your case. I sincerely believe that before hiring ANY lawyer you need to know something about them beyond the basic information like where they went to school, what organizations they belong to, how many years they have been a lawyer, etc.. Hiring a lawyer is, in many cases, a very intimate decision since many legal cases are about the impact of an event on you and your family. It's very personal. If we are to work together in a legal case, it is important to get to know each other!. In my case, you should know that the most important thing in my life is my wife, Joan and my five children. They are the lights of my life. I met my wife, Joan at a Methodist church picnic. Fun fact: We were married in and still attend that church today. I was raised on a dairy farm in Central New York where I worked for my Dad and Grandfather. Being raised on a farm, I am no stranger to hard work. In addition to farm work, my brothers and I had a paper route and delivered the Syracuse Herald Journal 7 days a week!. I have had a variety of life experiences, from serving in the United States Army Infantry (1/41st Infantry Battalion, 2nd Armored Division), to serving two Members of Congress in Washington D.C. I have practiced law in Central Florida for over 27 years, representing thousands of consumers in large and small, simple and complex legal cases in Florida, New York, District of Columbia, Georgia and Michigan.. I started Coye Law Firm in 1991 (then known as the Law Office of Wade Coye) and over the years, I have developed a multi-disciplinary expert legal team that I am very proud of. My team and I handle cases as diverse as personal injury, workers' compensation, disability, probate and family law. We have recovered millions on behalf of our clients.. My goal is to be helpful with a client's legal matters. In fact, my practice areas and my office revolve around our efforts to help our clients. Many times I find that a client may actually have several legal matters that have arisen from one incident and in order to get a better result we find it best to coordinate efforts. For instance, if a person was working while driving a motor vehicle and was in an accident, this injured person could have a workers' compensation case, a personal injury case, a no-fault case, possibly a social security disability case, a long term disability case and possibly a case against their health insurance company. In some cases, a person may even have a family law matter that has been somewhat caused by the loss of income from an accident. We find the same applies when there has been a death.. This type of case requires both a probate action and a wrongful death suit, along with other areas of the law to coordinate. The interrelationship between these practice areas means if your lawyer doesn't understand each area well and coordinate benefits appropriately, you, the client may not receive the best result.. So now that you know a little about me, I want to leave off by saying I value our relationship and work to completely understand the impact of a legal case on you, which I believe is invaluable to obtaining the best result possible for you. You will find that my advice will be direct and straight forward, as if, in some cases, I was making a decision with a family member.
I've dedicated my career to representing individuals in personal injury and wrongful death cases in the areas of products liability, auto crashes, and premises liability. I'm admitted to practice law before all state courts of Florida and Kentucky and in the U.S. District Courts, Middle District of Florida and Southern District of Florida.
