Thomas Moran is a partner in the law firm of Ahern & Moran with offices in Palatine, where he specializes in DUI defense.  He is a graduate of Marquette University and Valparaiso University School of Law.  Mr. Moran served on a felony jury trial team as an assistant prosecutor in Hudson County, New Jersey before joining the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in 1994.  He has been a member of his current firm for over twenty years.  Mr. Moran is a co-author of IICLE’s publication, “James J. Ahern on DUI Caselaw 2016.”  He is also co-editor of this publication.  Mr. Moran is a former Chairman of the Criminal Law Committee of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association.  He currently serves as the chairman of Northwest Suburban Bar Association DUI Committee.  He also serves as a member of the Illinois State Bar Association's Traffic Courts Section Council.
