Filomena is the founder and principal of Lepore Taylor Law LLC in Ridgewood, NJ. Fiomena, or Fil as her clients call her, is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and New York and has over 12 years of experience as a U.S. immigration attorney.  Over the course of her career, she has counseled businesses of various sizes on the attainment of visa petitions to facilitate both long and short-term work assignments of specialized personnel, professional workers, managers and executives.  She also advises clients on the development of immigration compliance programs, ongoing developments in immigration law and policy, and government enforcement actions.  She is particularly experienced in the preparation of PERM labor certification applications before the U.S. Department of Labor, marriage-based immigration, and U.S. citizenship and naturalization.. Filomena has cultivated lasting relationships with her clients who range from Fortune 500 corporations to individuals and entrepreneurs spanning many industries including finance, information technology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, bio-tech, food and beverage, construction, engineering, architecture and design.  Prior to establishing her practice in 2016, Filomena was a Partner with the immigration practice group of a prominent New York-based full service law firm, and remains Of Counsel to the firm.  Prior to that, Filomena worked for a boutique immigration practice in Philadelphia, PA.  During law school, she was a member of the Law Review and worked with the U.S. Department of State in Naples, Italy.. As an immigrant myself, I can relate to my clients on a different level because I have gone through the process with my family.  As a child, I saw how difficult it was for my parents to raise three small children in a foreign country.  My father's disappointment with attorneys who could not deliver on their promises is a salient memory for me as a child.  I remember translating the lawyer's bad news to my father, which made me so sad.  As a child, it was this experience that made me want to become an attorney (in my mind a superhero) so I can help my father.. Today, I see my father in all my clients, which gives me the power and persistence to obtain the proper result.  Although I wasn't able to help my father as a child, I get so much satisfaction in getting results for my clients even if it means taking the government to federal court to get it done.. I also owe immense gratitude to my wife, Deanna, who was the only person that believed in my dream of becoming an attorney.  I decided to go to law school after I was married and had two small children.
