Nonie Ferguson is a managing partner of Just Law, LLC. Nonie has been a practicing attorney since graduating from Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2012. Post law school, Nonie practiced in the area of criminal defense as an Assistant Public Defender in Broward County, Florida. Nonie started her career  at the Public Defenders Office representing alleged juvenile offenders in the juvenile justice system in Florida. Thereafter, Nonie was promoted to the felony criminal trial division and represented accused first, second, and third degree felony offenders. Nonie's time as a litigation attorney with the Public Defender's office has garnered her with an immense amount of trial, litigation, negotiation and legal writing experience.. In February of 2016 Nonie moved from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Utah and and began working for the Utah Administrative Office of the Courts as their Domestic Violence Program Coordinator. As the Domestic Violence Program Coordinator, Nonie was a point of contact for Judges, Commissioners, court staff, and court patrons on all domestic violence related issues. Nonie assisted in developing and interpreting policies, procedures, rules and regulations as they applied to the courts and domestic violence. She also created and implemented state wide trainings for Utah Judges on relevant domestic violence and family law statutory changes, case law changes and policy changes. While working with the Administrative Office of the Courts Nonie was studying for the Utah Bar Exam. After she successfully passed the Utah Bar Exam, Nonie accepted a position as an Associate Attorney with Just Law, bringing her trial advocacy and negotiation skills with her for her clients. Nonie is now a managing partner of Just Law, LLC.. Nonie is a zealous advocate and is dedicated to the practice of law and helping others. Conflict resolution, disciplined litigation, negotiation, legal writing and analysis are her strengths. Her goal is to successfully negotiate, resolve, and ardently represent her clients.. Nonie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida Atlantic University with two B.S. degrees in Political Science and English Literature. She received her bachelor's degree from Scripps College in California and obtained her law degree from the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. She was a former prosecutor in the Arizona handling major crimes in the family violence unit. She has also served as a City Prosecutor in Colorado handling cases involving abused and neglected children. She has had a private practice in both Arizona and Colorado representing adults and juveniles in criminal, juvenile, civil and appellate matters. A native of Park City, Utah, Rebecca Ross joined Miller Law Group in 2016. After graduating from the University of Montana with Honors in Psychology and English, she returned to Park City to attend law school at the University of Utah. During her law school tenure, Rebecca served as judicial intern for the Honorable Keith Kelly, as an editor for the Journal of Law and Family Studies and President of the Women’s Law Caucus, worked extensively with Utah Juvenile Defender Attorneys, representing juvenile delinquency clients in Salt Lake County, and published a Note in the Journal of Law and Family Studies highlighting issues with domestic violence prosecutions in Utah’s Justice courts, titled Because There Won’t Be a “Next Time”: Why Justice Court is an Inappropriate Forum for Domestic Violence Cases.  13 J.L. FAM. STUD. 329 (2011).. Rebecca’s unique education and background in psychology and social work serves her clients well as they navigate the difficult emotional processes resulting from the legal system, particularly in criminal and family law matters.  In addition to her drive and passion for achieving thoughtful resolutions for her clients, Rebecca remains active in the community. She is currently President of both the Park City Bar Association and the Community for Children’s Justice, a non-profit supporting the Summit County Children’s Justice Center, and was a member of Park City Leadership Class XXIII.
