John grew up in McCalla, Alabama where he attended high school at Bessemer Academy.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Birmingham Southern College in 1987 and attained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama in 1990.   John is the 4th generation of his family to practice law.  He feels privileged to continue the Holliman tradition of service to our community.. Jeffrey G. Hester has been practicing law for over 15 years in a broad range of legal areas, including criminal defense, family law, personal injury, and more. Prior to creating his own practice, he served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office. As a prosecutor he has taken many criminal cases to trial and developed a deep understanding of the prosecution process. Using this valuable insight, he now focuses on helping criminal defendants navigate the criminal courts and fight their charges. Mr. Hester is licensed to practice in courts across Alabama.
