Philip “Phil” Roberson is a native of Gadsden, AL. After high school, Phil joined the United States Marine Corps where he served as an infantryman and combat diver. Phil continued to serve as a Marine on both active duty and in the reserves until 2006, when he received a direct commission in the United States Army Reserves. In the Army Reserves, Phil has served as a chemical officer and commanded a biological detection company. Phil also served as a Civil Affairs officer and is currently assigned as a staff officer with the 1184th DDSB in Mobile, AL.. Phil was as a law enforcement officer in the State of Alabama for over 25 years and prior to his retirement was a Deputy Chief of Police. Phil was an adjunct instructor for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Academy where he taught a course, he developed entitled Understanding Your Authority, which outlined an officer’s statutory authority in the Use of Force, Deadly Force, Arrest’s and Civil Rights Violations.. Phil holds multiple degrees in criminal justice and criminal justice administration and obtained his law degree from the Birmingham School of Law. Phil is married to Jonna Roberson who is a retired teacher with the Pell City School System and is now a touring stand-up comedian. Phil and Jonna have been married for 19 years and they live in Pell City with their two sons, Garrett and JT.

I was born and raised in rural Etowah County, Alabama. Upon graduation from High School, I attended the University of North Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1998. I then worked my way through law school at the Birmingham School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 2002.. I practiced in law firms in the Birmingham area for almost ten years, deciding to go back to my rural roots in 2012, joining forces with Mr. Billy Church, forming the firm of Church Brogdon, PC.. I feel that my background in business litigation, general civil litigation, and insurance defense uniquely positions me to offer my clients a broad based approach to their particular legal issues.. Although my primary focus is on representing those injured in accidents, I also enjoy representing businesses and individuals involved in general civil litigation.
