I joined Burch & Cracchiolo in 2000 as a shareholder after practicing for sixteen years at Horne, Bistrow & Dulberg P.C. Before I moved to Arizona in 1984, I served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office from 1978-1984, where I tried more than forty felony cases. Since 1984, my practice has concentrated on construction law and commercial litigation - focusing primarily on helping clients resolve disputes that typically arise out of construction projects. I have represented the entire gamut within the construction industry, from property owners to design professionals, contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers. I have obtained a jury verdict of more than $3 million in a business tort case arising out of a street improvement project, and defended numerous multi-million dollar construction claims. I have also handled administrative proceedings pursuant to the Arizona Procurement Code and complaints before the Registrar of Contractors. Dan Beeks has been an attorney in Arizona for over 20 years. He spent 23 years practicing with prestigious mid-sized and large law firms in Phoenix specializing in commercial litigation. He has extensive experience in nearly all types of complex litigation and appeals, from intellectual property cases to malpractice litigation against brain surgeons, to commercial disputes involving valuation of small and mid-sized businesses. Dan began practicing family law when he and his former partners were frequently retained by other family law attorneys to represent family owned businesses in connection with high net-worth divorces.. Later, because of his extensive experience in handling appeals, he began working with the attorneys at the Bishop Law Office, P.C. on appellate matters. He was also selected by the State Bar of Arizona’s Board of Legal Specialization to serve on the committee in charge of certifying attorneys as specialists in personal injury and wrongful death. He has also been recognized by the Volunteer Lawyers Program as one of the top pro bono attorneys in Maricopa County, for his volunteer legal work with poor clients who could not otherwise afford to pay attorneys.. In his free time, Dan loves to train for and compete in endurance sports. He has run several marathons and half-marathons, and is still dreaming of someday qualifying for the Boston Marathon. This year, he is also training for his first Ironman triathlon. He is the president of the cross country boosters group at his children’s high school, and is a volunteer assistant coach in the summertime with the girls’ distance program.
