In her capacity as an AAA neutral, she has addressed various procedural issues, including arbitrability, attorney disqualification, jurisdiction and discovery disputes.. She is on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Executive Council, State Bar of Arizona. She presented a seminar on arbitrability at the 2021 State Bar Convention and has written on the issue of delegation clauses in arbitration agreements – “Putting the Shine on Schein.”. Her arbitration practice is enhanced and enlightened by years of appellate experience – she has filed more than 150 appellate briefs and petitions for review in the Arizona Court of Appeals, the Arizona Supreme Court, the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court, and has 23 published opinions.

Karen Stafford’s practice is primarily focused on insurance coverage, insurance bad faith litigation, general commercial litigation and appellate law.  Ms. Stafford advises clients on a wide range of complex insurance issues, including first party property claims, third party liability claims, and bad faith actions.  Ms. Stafford has experience in all aspects of civil litigation and trial preparation.. Ms. Stafford is a graduate of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University where she served as both a staff writer and research editor of the Arizona State University Law Journal and participated in the leadership of various pro bono organizations.  Ms. Stafford has also served as an adjunct professor at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.

Karen N. Wohlgemuth is a litigation associate at The Cavanagh Law Firm.  She focuses her practice primarily on complex civil and commercial litigation, including insurance defense, personal injury and construction defect.. Ms. Wohlgemuth graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelors of Arts in English.  She obtained her Juris Doctor from Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.  During law school, she was a Trial Advocacy fellow and the sole 2016-2017 Paul W. Holloway Trial Advocacy Award winner.  She also gained extensive litigation experience in law school working in the legal claims division at an insurance company and has successfully tried numerous cases as a Rule 38 Prosecutor.

Kara Brasovan is an associate attorney at Ely, Bettini, Ulman, Rosenblatt & Ozer. Kara has a non-traditional, but successful, academic past that allows for a unique perspective on the cases she handles.. While in undergrad, Kara worked in a research laboratory and she was fortunate to have her research contributions published in 2012. In 2013, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medicinal Chemistry.. While in law school, Kara spent one summer studying abroad in Prague, Czech Republic. In only a few short weeks, her career goals were forever changed. Studying abroad was eye-opening and offered the amazing opportunity to meet individuals from all over the world. It was here that Kara discovered her passion and her need to advocate for the people instead of working for a large corporation.. Judy has lived in Arizona since 1972.  She was Valedictorian at Mesa High School before heading east to attend Smith College.  After graduating with a degree in Psychology she worked as an Adult Probation Officer for Maricopa County Adult Probation Department.. Judy graduated from the University of Notre Dame School of Law in 1986 and returned to Phoenix to join the firm of Gallagher & Kennedy.  At the forefront of women's issues in law firms and gender bias affecting women lawyer's Judy forged many new trails as one of the first women partners at G&K.. Judy has three adult children and one grandchild.  Now that the nest is empty she spends her time with her two Bouviers, Maya and Moqi (often featured on the firm's Christmas cards).  They love to go camping with their human mom, exploring northern Arizona wilderness in her travel trailer.
