Family Law attorney Lichtenberg started practicing law in 1978. He worked with other firms before venturing out on his own in 1986. He graduated from the University of Washington School of Law in 1978 and became a member of the Washington State Bar Association that same year. He’s been a member of the Alaska Bar and Montana Bar and has successfully argued before the Washington State Supreme Court on two occasions. Angela Brooker, his paralegal, has been working for him for more than 20 years.

Candace is a litigator with substantial experience in all aspects of civil and criminal trial work, including jury trials, bench trials, and administrative hearings and appeals.. She practices real estate litigation and transactions, and estate planning, probates and trusts.. Estate planning is designed to ensure that the planner’s final wishes are known and implemented after death.  Probate is the legal process of administering an individual’s property and debts after his or her death.. Having seen the results of non-planning or poor planning resulting in extensive litigation, Candace is passionate about ensuring a person’s wishes are known, understood, and carried out after death.. Her estate planning includes creating, amending, and reviewing wills, simple and tax-planning trusts, powers of attorney for finance and healthcare, and healthcare directives; and consulting on the best legal strategies for providing for individual and family financial protection.. Candace’s probate work includes handling uncontested and contested probates for estates with or without a valid will, while representing beneficiaries, heirs, personal representatives or creditors. Her work in real estate has included quiet title and foreclosure, residential and commercial lease drafting and litigation, and creation and review of various real property documents.. She received her B.A. in 1995 from the University of California, Santa Cruz,   and her Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara (California) University School of Law in 2000.  She is licensed to practice law in Washington, Idaho, and California, although her California Bar license is currently inactive.

As the founder of Nowakowski Legal PLLC, and as the managing member, Austin has dedicated himself to insuring that our office provides expert and timely advice to all of its clients.  His purpose in opening Nowakowski Legal PLLC was to take his extensive legal experience and knowledge and to focus it in assisting young and established entrepreneurs in fulfilling their professional and personal life goals.. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Austin graduated St. Thomas University School of Law in 2008 in the top 5% of his class.  His honors included multiple deans list awards, law review, and graduating Magna Cum graduated from law school, Austin worked for several law firms as a litigation associate in the areas of real estate, foreclosure and personal injury.. As an associate of Ferrer Shane PL, Austin litigated over approximately three hundred cases and was appointed to the position of managing associate; as a litigation associate of McCalla Raymer LLC, Austin continued to hone his skills both in and out of the courtroom as one of the leading associates in the Orlando branch.. In Illinois, Austin worked for several prominent corporations as in-house counsel. While there, he gained extensive knowledge and insight as to the inner workings of varying types of businesses.  Just a few of the legal aspects he handled for these companies included entity creation, contract law, mergers/acquisitions, equine law, real estate purchases, business transaction, regulatory compliance law, and all manner of business related matters. Additionally, working directly with several very successful entrepreneurs gave Austin tremendous insight as to what small businesses need to succeed, and in how to take a proactive approach in solving the problems that tend to plague most growing companies.. After several years of providing business law services as in-house counsel for just a few organizations, Austin decided to shift his practice and began providing his services to a broader audience; thus began Nowakowski Legal PLLC.
