My practice is solely focused on representing the injured in workers' compensation claims and personal injury cases in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  I also serve as a Guardian ad litem in infant settlement cases.

My practice consists of Estate Planning, Estate Probate, Trusts, Trust Administration, Tax Planning, Real Estate, Small Business Law, and Sports and Entertainment Law.   I am very active in sports and entertainment law and have a sports agency, Crown Endeavors Sports Agency that represents coaches and athletes. I played football at the University of Virginia and then proceeded to attend Liberty University School of Law where I finished top 5 in my class and Magna Cum Laude. I am a devout Christian and because of that, I hold myself to a higher ethical and professional standard than what is required in the legal profession.

My path to becoming a trial lawyer wasn’t a straight one. In fact, my early ambition was to become a charter-fishing boat captain. However, I quickly discovered that a career in law, particularly litigation, allowed me to help others while feeding his competitive drive.. I tried numerous cases across courts throughout the Commonwealth, handled multiple appeals, and successfully argued before the Virginia Supreme Court. I thrive on pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and embrace new challenges.. Before founding Merrick Brock, I spent over a decade defending insurance companies. Over time, I grew frustrated with their tactics — manipulating cases, undermining claims, and offering far less than victims deserved. I decided to use my insider knowledge to fight back, representing clients who had been injured by negligence, harmful products, or neglect throughout Virginia.. My extensive experience includes personal injury cases like product and premises liability, nursing home neglect, dog bites, and truck and auto accidents. Ms. Queen, our Senior Associate, is dedicated to employment law. After earning her bachelors degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Ms. Queen earned her law degree from Syracuse University College of Law, graduating with cum laude honors. She began her career with the New York Attorney General’s Office, winning a competitive position as a legal intern. Mr. Krumbein graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA in 1995 with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice. He then went on to Law School at the Claude W.
