I have spent over 37 years representing injured victims and insurance companies in personal injury matters. I fully understand both sides of the docket and know the best ways to achieve success in all the cases I handle. I am Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. I am ready to fight for you!
I have seen how most insurance companies put profit before people, delay and low-ball the payment of claims, and do whatever they can to maximize their profits at the expense of the public. That is why it is so important to hire a lawyer who can hold them accountable and achieve the best results for you and your family. It gives me a lot of satisfaction helping everyday people take on these large corporations.. Please watch the video links to see how major insurance companies take advantage of the public when handling automobile injury claims.
I have practiced criminal law in San Antonio and the surrounding areas for over 20 years. I like what I do. I believe every person deserves a zealous defense. It doesn't matter to me if you are innocent, guilty, or somewhere in between. It is my goal to protect your record and to do my best to keep it as clean as possible. This means that just because you are "guilty" I am still going to hold the State to the high burden of being able to prove your case and I am going to do everything I can to obtain the best result for you. I also will go to trial when necessary. I have handled almost every type of criminal case from traffic tickets up to capital murder and I am very familiar with the Bexar County Courts.. If you have a question on a criminal case feel free to call me or send me a message. There is no commitment for that call and no pressure to hire our office. I will be honest and upfront with you as to my opinion and the fees that are charged. I believe it is important to have an attorney you trust and can communicate with. You can and should call as many attorneys as you feel you need to find the one who is right for you. All attorneys are not created equal and not every attorney will really care what happens in your case. Even the best attorneys handle similar cases differently. It is important for you to find an attorney who handles your case the way you feel most comfortable with. Every individual represented by my office deserves respect and hopefully that is the way all of my previous clients feel they were treated.

I grew up in the small town of Hallettsville, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. Prior to law school I worked as a petroleum landman where I researched title to land for oil and gas companies. I continued to work as a landman during and after law school. My knowledge in tracing mineral title and conducting genealogy research helped me make a natural transition into probate law and estate planning.. I take pride in my ability to navigate through the legal process while maintaining a compassionate understanding for the feelings and intentions of those that I am privileged to help in the San Antonio community. The city of San Antonio is special to me because it is where I met my husband and we started our own family.. I know how important it is to plan for the future and to protect our loved ones. I also know how difficult it is to go through the probate procedure after losing someone that you love. It is rewarding and I feel honored to help my clients as they make decisions that protect the people they care about the most.

I didn't become a lawyer until much later in life. I am a proud United States Navy Veteran and worked in aviation for over a dozen years before attending law school. My background is blue collar and rose through the ranks by working hard, being dedicated to the task at hand, and maintaining my integrity throughout everything. I have extensive experience in negotiations, conflict resolution, compliance and regulations, which sparked my interest in the law to begin with. Being licensed to practice in the great state of Texas has been the pinnacle of my career to date, as it has given me the opportunity to give client's the much needed "win" they may have never experienced before.. There is a reason lawyers have the reputation we do. There are more bad attorneys than good ones and to separate myself from the rest, I focus on customer service. You wouldn't go into a retail store to buy a 4K television and allow the sales associate to be rude or disrespectful. You would walk out and buy the set from someone who treated you the way you wanted to be treated. That is true in any service industry and sometimes some lawyers forget we are offering a service to our clients.. I have found in my practice that a majority of my clients do not understand what a retainer is or how it works. A retainer is like a savings account that the law firm holds for the client and has two functions. First, it protects you from paying an attorney a lot of your hard earned money and nothing is being done on your case. Second, it protects the lawyer in that at the end of the month when I send you an invoice for work that has been done in your matter, I pull the funds from the retainer. This ensures I have money to pay my rent, employee salaries, and other expenses. As I work your case and the retainer gets lower, it is my job to discuss the status of your case with you and let you know what we still have to do to achieve your goal. Then we discuss replenishing the retainer with more money to achieve the results you want. Once the matter is finalized and our relationship has ended, any balance left in the retainer is refunded to you.
I devote my time to assisting clients with professional liability defense, commercial litigation, premises liability defense, and related civil litigation matters.
I believe that good lawyers are good problem solvers. When someone hires me to represent them I consider it a sacred trust. I take my job seriously because I know how much is on the line. Thank you for considering my profile, and I look forward to hearing from you and meeting you.
I believe each client has a unique story, with their own need for support and guidance. I talk frankly with my clients to give them an honest view of the pros and cons of litigating their case and the options they may face. With a large practice and a large legal staff assisting me I’m able to spend as much time as needed with each and every client. I want my clients to know I am there for them, so every client is given my cell phone number and the cell number of my legal assistant so that you can reach us 7 days a week.

I am passionate about what I do. It is my honor to be a trial lawyer and assist people who have had their careers severely damaged or ended due to the illegal conduct of an employer. My past experience as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas and as a defense lawyer in one of the nation's largest law firms gives me unique insights and an advantage when it comes to effectively representing employees.. When you retain me to represent you, you get me, not an associate or junior lawyer. I will take full control over every aspect of your case and give it my personal attention. In my experience, this gives me an advantage over my opponents because I have handled every aspect of your case myself, rather than allowing a less experienced attorney to handle some matters and then try to understand what occurred later.. I am board certified in Labor & Employment Law and represent employees in overtime, harassment, wrongful discharge, and fraud/whistleblower cases. This includes claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, breach of employment agreements, and noncompete defense, as well as claims of unpaid overtime and corporate fraud and/or fraud against the government.
I am passionate about the law and about protecting my clients' rights. I am the most zealous advocate that you will find.
