Your legal issue(s) is/are can be very stressful.  This is why I try to maintain a positive, working relationship with my clients and why I give out my personal cell phone number so that I can be reached more easily.  I consider myself unique in this regard and in my personal, hands-on treatment of your case.  I schedule my own appointments and discuss all aspects of your case with you personally.  I do not simply hand your case to an associate and rarely deal with you.. Nothwithstanding the foregoing, I do have a personal life and enjoy time with my family outside of the working environment.  This allows me to rejuveniate and focus my energies and talents on your case.

Firm: CHRISTENSEN LAW, Counselors and Practitioners

Solving the important problems of my clients requires all 28 years of my experience, careful research and creative analysis. Understanding a client's goals helps me prioritize my work. Then I give clients an accurate assessment of their case. Third, I want to get all of the information I need to help them achieve their goals. To help me accomplish these three goals, I need clients to keep good records and to bring the records they have for my review. I enjoy meeting with clients to discuss potential solutions to their problems. I want clients to feel welcome and well served at our firm's office. I take time to give them a list of options to solve their problems and to help them understand what a court will do in a case like theirs. When clients cannot solve their problems without court intervention, I want to find the most effective way to get the relief the client needs. I strive to have a close working relationship with the client not only to make my representation more efficient and effective, but also to help me understand how the client wants to handle the important situations and decisions in the litigation process. Litigation needs to be focused on the specific relief the client wants.. Outside of the office I have had a long tenure working on a local and district level with the Boy Scouts of America and three of our sons and I have our Woodbadge beads. I have also volunteered in the Salt Lake public schools on various committees. I enjoy playing tennis with my wife and practicing musical instruments with my children. Going to and from the office I often listen to recorded literary works or college lectures.

Firm: LJ Law Team

So, a little about me.  I know choosing an attorney is tough, and hopefully this information helps you. I founded LJ Law (formerly associated with Just Law) in 2010  because I saw a need for a different type of law firm.  One that wasn't focused on a make money at all costs mentality.  One that didn't leave scorched earth in the wake of a family law case.  We started a firm where we focus on the family and we try to be settlement-oriented, but still tough when we need to be.  Our flat fee approach ensures that the focus stays on achieving the best outcome using client's resources to their maximum potential.. I have been practicing in the area of divorce and family law for over 20 years.. Prior to starting LJ  Law (formely associated with Just Law), I worked for the Office of Guardian ad Litem representing abused and neglected children, I have continued this work by acting as a Private Guardian ad Litem in cases. My degree in Psychology and training and experience with complex assets, mediation, child development, alienation, abuse and neglect, trauma, domestic violence and personality disorders, makes me uniquely qualified to handle complex cases in a way that keeps client’s and children’s mental health at the forefront.. Kyle E. Witherspoon is an experienced, aggressive, and thoughtful litigator who believes that family law clients deserve a better class of lawyer, and is determined to give it to them.  Currently accepting client enquiries. CLIENT TESTIMONIALS. Cate M., 5 Star Google Review:. "Kyle Witherspoon is one of the most credible and knowledgeable divorce attorneys I’ve worked with. In my professional life, I encounter legal negotiations daily and have worked with a range of law firms. Kyle has proven himself a rise above some of the perceived “greats” out there in his profession, making a name for himself by being honest, straightforward, logical and beyond hardworking. He pairs that with a true empathy for his clients and a desire to help them see what is in their best interest even when they can’t see it themselves. To say my expectations have been exceeded  would be selling my experience short. My expectations have been carefully cultivated through the guidance that Kyle has given me and he has the backing of a firm that regards him highly, believing in his assessment of how cases should be managed. How refreshing to not be nickel and dimed but trusted for what can be managed and working together as a unified team for what is best for my case. If you are ever in need of an attorney, call Kyle Witherspoon at PearsonButler! I highly and emphatically recommend him!". Donna W., 5 Star Google Review:. "Kyle Witherspoon is a phenomenal lawyer.  He absolutely knows what he’s doing. He always had my best interest in mind and is excellent against opposing counsel. I would be very confident going to court against anyone with him on my side. He was very prompt to get back to me anytime I needed him.  He is an exceptional lawyer. I would very strongly recommend him.". Kloey J., 5 Star Google Review:. "I never thought I would need an attorney, but life circumstances can easily change. Kyle Witherspoon is fantastic to work with. He listened to my concerns and took them seriously. I realize he has many clients, but he makes you feel as if you are the main priority. I appreciate that he worked late into the night getting things ready before court. He's thorough and very detail oriented.". Kassy S., 5 Star Google Review:. "Working with Kyle Witherspoon has been amazing! I am extremely impressed with Kyle and his paralegal. They’ve taken the time to help me understand the process, they both care what's happening and have done everything they could to help me through it! I would recommend Kyle to anyone who comes to the unfortunate circumstances covered by family law. Truly, thank you both very much!". Joe L., 5 Star Google Review:. "Kyle Witherspoon is awesome! I needed an attorney to represent me and my small business over an issue where a previous client was trying to take advantage of me for over $60k.  Kyle started in on my case right away, and called the other attorney during our initial consultation and defended me.  Kyle said to me that his goal was to get this case dropped as quick as possible, and he did just that. This could have easily become something that would have amounted to large legal fees, going back and forth, and having the judge end up dropping the case anyway. Kyle was awesome to work with and was aggressive on defending me. He knew exactly what was needed to move this along quickly.. I hope I don't come into a situation like this again, but if I do I will definitely be in contact with this firm and Kyle Witherspoon.  He turned an extremely stressful time into a much more relaxed and easier to deal with situation. If I could Photoshop a 6th star on this review I would do it.". Ashlee C., 5 Star Google Review:. "Kyle Witherspoon has been great for me and my family. He also takes the time to make sure we are getting what we need!". Elisha K., 5 Star Google Review:. "Kyle Witherspoon has been my lawyer for about 7 months now, and he has been wonderful! He is very educated, and knows his stuff. His assistant Hailey has been great to work with as well! I highly recommend him!!!". Sean T., 5 Star Google Review:. "The team of Kyle Witherspoon and paralegal Hailey Massie is second to none! I went through a difficult divorce and they were there for me every step of the way. If you need strong advocates in your corner, do not hesitate to get this team on your side!". A passionate, steadfast, and intelligent advocate, Kyle Witherspoon has worked for some of the top law firms in Texas, Utah, and nationally.  In that time, he's represented everyone from farmers to hedge funds, single mothers to international corporations, small and large businesses, and individuals in litigation worth from a few thousand dollars all the way up to hundreds of millions.. Ultimately, however, Kyle chose to leave that behind and return to the practice that inspired him even before law school:  Family Law—helping and fighting for real people with real problems in some of the most important and difficult situations they’ll ever face. He considers it one of the best decisions of his life, and quickly found that the skills he honed as a litigator and trial attorney can provide an extraordinary advantage to his clients.

I was first licensed to practice law in the state of Nevada in 2013.  I have practiced as a trial attorney in Nevada since that time, focusing primarily on divorce/custody matters.  I was employed as the sole associate of a well-established divorce/custody attorney, who functioned as my mentor.. In early 2017, however, I relocated to the state of Utah, and became licensed there as well.  I presently am employed at the Utah law firm of Smart Schofield Shorter, PC, a 13 attorney firm with broad capacity for all types of litigation.  Though the bulk of my caseload remains oriented towards family law, I have been expanding to other areas of civil practice as well as criminal practice.. I do still take cases in Nevada, and travel as needed for any court appearances.  Whether you live in Nevada or Utah, please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss your legal issue; the consultation is free!

I have been practicing law since 1993, in pratically all areas from divorce and paternity, modifications, criminal defense, personal injury, probate, general civil litigation, and the llke.  As a young  lawyer, I started out taking any case that would get me in front of a jury.  I knew I wanted to be a trial lawyer.  I wanted to be comfortable in the court room.  So, I tried all manner of criminal cases, civil contract cases, and personal injury cases.  I started my law practice in Maine.  After 10 years, I had twin daughters and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah.  Since that time, my practice has focused on divorce, paternity and family law, and some criminal and civil law.  I now have a son as well.  My husband and I live with our three children and three dogs in Park City, Utah. We love to ski, hike, play baseball, softball, soccer, and any other sport that involves the outdoors.  I have my own practice now, having practiced in small firms to large firms over the years.  I find my joy in my family, and in helping my clients through some of the worst times of their life.  The best part is the fact that they move through a process,  and hopfully, at the end, continue to move forward in a more positive way.  I have watched a spouse, mother or father, collapesed by divorce or separation, find love again, connect with their children again, and find their own joy again.  I am grateful for those clients that stay in touch with me so I can share in their happiness.

I have been practicing law for over thirty years.  Chances are this is the first time you've needed a lawyer and you are worrying about choosing a good one.  You may have reviewed  other divorce websites and noticed that after a while they all begin to look alike.. My past clients were also looking for a good lawyer.  A strong advocate who was still compassionate about their unique circumstances. One who always returned their calls promptly and kept them up to speed.   A  pragmatist who didn't just tell them what they wanted to hear and if their expectations were unrealistic, offered alternatives.  A seasoned veteran who worked efficiently and effectively, utilizing that experience to keep costs down.. Because my past clients found what they were looking for, I will let them do the talking. If you decide to make a similar choice - with respect to your divorce, paternity action or step-parent adoption or if you need a prenuptial agreement, will, trust, living will, guardianship or conservatorship --  I will be waiting to hear from you.  .

I grew up in northern California about 15 minutes west of Oakland in the Walnut Creek/Concord area.  It was awesome and miss it greatly.  I met my wife at the University of Utah.  Ironically, she was born roughly 30 miles from where I was born. I was born in Walnut Creek and my wife in Tracy. I played football, baseball and soccer growing up and was quite good at all three (not to brag, but this is an "about me" segment).  I played junior college football and also coached varsity football for two years when I was younger.  My second year of coaching we went undefeated. It was quite the experience.  My lifelong dream is to simply coach high school football again.. My wife and I love movies and our daughter.  We spend a great deal of time together and have a great marriage. I am blessed to be business partners with one of my best friends who is a great person, friend and attorney.  I am blessed to have associations with very good people and examples in my circle of influence and hope to be worthy of their friendship.. As for my legal practice there is really only one thing you need to know, I love to win. It doesn't matter if it is a game of tennis, Jenga or a hearing.  I hate losing, which is good for my clients.

Angela H. Elmore has extensive experience in criminal defense, domestic law, Expungements/Pardons, Name/Gender Changes, as well as general civil litigation, practicing in various jurisdictions and courts throughout the State of Utah, as well as the 10th Circuit.. Prior to law school, Angela interned and worked as a clerk at the Salt Lake City Justice Court. Disconcerted by the legal system and its constant mistreatment of marginalized and unrepresented parties, Angela went on to complete her bachelor’s degree so that she could be more involved with the legal system.. After graduation, Angela worked for the Salt Lake County Public Defender’s Office as a legal secretary. Eventually feeling limited in her abilities to help her clients, Angela matriculated into law school and attended the University of Wyoming. After finishing her first year of law school in the top five of her class, Angela transferred to and ultimately graduated from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.. Angela worked in private practice with Skordas, Caston and Hyde upon graduating from law school, where she handled anything from homicide charges and sodomy of a child, to minor traffic offenses. She then went on to work for herself in private practice, as a criminal defense attorney, under Elmore Law.. Various experiences both during and after law school gave Angela the drive to focus her career on providing affordable and quality resources to those commonly marginalized and taken advantage of by those in power or those with more resources, which led her to take a position as Managing Attorney of the Utah Legal Clinic Foundation, and the Utah Civil Rights and Liberties Foundation, to continue the work of Brian M. Barnard. She worked for the Clinic for seven and one-half years.. After the Clinic closed, Angela was determined to continue as much of the work Brian M. Barnard started, offering low-cost uncontested divorces, name/gender changes, and other low cost flat rate legal work like expungements and pardons, which she is currently doing at Elmore Law with her partner Adam Elmore.

After practicing family law for the last half decade, I have learned a lot of things. The biggest takeaway is that each client's situation is unique, and a strategy that makes sense for one client, will not necessarily work well for another. Each family is unique, and getting the best possible outcomes for each case means listening to and understanding where my clients are coming from, and where they want to go. I am not afraid to practice outside the box, and use creative and bold legal arguments to get the results my clients are entitled to.
