Tom Kemmy has been representing people and families in personal injury, medical malpractice, oilfield accidents, business disputes, and workplace accident cases since 1986. From 1990 to 1993 Tom took a temporary leave from the practice of law when he and his family served as lay missionaries in Mongu, Zambia Africa, where they provided villages much needed agricultural and medical support. Mr. RC Pate is a criminal defense lawyer and was born and raised in Corpus Christi. He grew up watching his father in trial as both an attorney and later a Judge. After attaining the rank of Eagle Scout, Mr. Pate moved to San Antonio to attend Trinity University where he received his BA majoring in both physics and religion while receiving minors in mathematics and philosophy.. After Graduating Trinity University, Mr. Pate stayed in San Antonio for a couple years performing as the house band for the local venue, The White Rabbit. Eventually he entered Law School at the University of Houston. While there, he had clerkships with a Bankruptcy Judge, The Attorney General’s Ofce, and eventually the Texas Supreme Court. Jonathan Michell leads our San Antonio office as a former prosecutor with more than fourteen years of experience trying cases to juries in Texas. Jonathan is also well respected by the judges and prosecutors with whom he works daily in Bexar County and the surrounding counties.. I began my career as an attorney in 1999 with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps, serving until 2005. I then practiced law as a civilian attorney at the U.S. Army Medical Command Headquarters, located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.  In that position, I primarily worked on health insurance and Medicare-related legal issues. In 2008, I accepted a position at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio as a Regulatory Analyst for Research Operations, where I gave advice on legal issues pertaining to clinical (medical) research, in particular Medicare and insurance billing matters.  I operated my own law office from 2009-2016. In November 2016, I began working at the Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, base legal office as a civilian employee. I also joined the Air Force Reserves as a JAG attorney in 2016.. I am licensed to practice law in both Texas and Missouri.  I have a bachelor's degree from North Dakota State University, and I earned my law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I served as an enlisted soldier in the U.S. Army Reserves while in law school, until receiving my commission into the JAG Corps..
