When I left inhouse practice to care for my Mother full time who had Alzheimer's, I realized that I wanted to educate people on the importance of planning for their golden years and for their family.. Due to the high costs of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's, I became a long term care insurance specialist.  I then changed my law focus to estate planning and elder law.. My Story. Growing up my parents worked hard to make sure I had everything I needed to be successful.  My success was more important to theirs.  When I was 28 years old my mom had a stroke.  My parents were divorced so my mom was alone during this ordeal.  I knew nothing about her financial situation.  I did not know what bills to pay, where to pay it from, or even what accounts she had.  During this time she was taking care of my older brother who was bed ridden with psoriatic arthritis.. Although I was 28 years old, I had no clue what to do.  Fortunately upon consulting a lawyer we were able to piece everything together.  She could have lost everything.. My Bio. Karlo was admitted to the state bar of California in 2002.  He received his Bachelor's degree at the University of the Pacific.  He obtained his juris doctorate from Southwestern University.. At Southwestern, Karlo was a member of the Moot Court Honor Team and reached the finals of the Ruby Vale Corporate Competition, which was argued before the Delaware Supreme Court.
