Dave received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1982 from the University of California, Santa Cruz. In 1985 he received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law with distinction. He was also awarded the Order of the Coif and membership in the Traynor Honor Society, as well as receiving American Jurisprudence Awards in Contracts and Torts. During law school he served on the law review and worked at the United States Attorney’s office for the Eastern District of California helping defend military bases against claims of gender discrimination. He was first admitted to practice law in California in 1985, and was admitted to practice in Colorado and Nevada in 2000. Dave has handled cases in State and Federal courts through all phases of trial and the appellate process; specializing in the representation of auto dealers, contractors, developers, insurers, manufacturers and retailers in the areas of personal injury, products liability, property damage, premises liability, construction, civil rights, real estate and employment law. He has extensive trial, arbitration, mediation and special master experience. Dave is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims where he handles cases under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. He is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, he has a “Superb Attorney Rating” from AVVO, and has received the coveted “Super Lawyer” designation. Dave is certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Civil Trial Specialist. He also serves as a Discovery Facilitator for the Contra Costa County Superior Court.
