Brien grew up in Sandy, Utah and attended Brigham Young University where he received his bachelor’s degree. He moved south to attend law school at the University of Arizona on a full-tuition scholarship before returning home to the Salt Lake Valley.. Brien is a husband and father. His wife (Emma) and three sons (Will, Luke, and Adam) are the most important and meaningful part of his life. He loves living near the Wasatch Mountains and spending time outdoors running, hiking, and swimming. He also enjoys reading, playing the piano, and cheering for the Utah Jazz.
