Leia is an Arizona native who grew up in north Phoenix and attended Shadow Mountain High School. Pursuing her passion for science, she earned a bachelors degree in chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry from the University of San Diego. During this time, she spent a semester studying in Cork, Ireland, at University College Cork.
