Raised in Georgia, I graduated from Emory University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and then Howard University School of Law in 2002 with a Juris Doctorate.  I was admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Arizona in 2002.  I spent the first seven years of my practice as an associate at Quarles & Brady where I handled bankruptcy and creditors' rights, probate litigation, and corporate law, and then branched out of my own as a solo practitioner in 2009.

Jonathan Frutkin brings multiple talents and areas of expertise to each client engagement. As the General Counsel for Doceus, Inc., the leading provider of Internet software for associations and non-profits, Jonathan was responsible for all the legal issues that faced the company. Jonathan jointly developed a comprehensive employee training program with the Human Resources Department, created contract templates for client engagements including guidelines for the sales team to streamline contract negotiations, negotiated debt and equity financings and completed the eventual sale of the company. He also served as Chief Operating Officer during the period when Doceus was recognized as the 18th fastest growing company in the Mid-Atlantic region by Techway magazine. Jonathan has also served as the Managing Partner of an area development company for a national franchise chain. In this capacity, he was responsible for raising capital and negotiating an agreement with the chain. Jonathan also served as an Associate at the Cleveland law firm of Kahn, Kleinman, Yanowitz and Arnson, a practice nationally recognized for its work with entrepreneurs, private and public companies. While at Kahn, Kleinman, he was responsible for completing the acquisition of a major regional competitor for his public company client, and also the completion of a large private placement for an Internet startup. He was one of the founding members of the firm’s Cyberlaw specialty group.He also worked as a prosecutor in Virginia while in law school, responsible for hundreds of criminal cases. At one point, he was handling the entire misdemeanor docket for the county. Jonathan is a member of the bars of both the District of Columbia and Arizona. Jonathan’s other experiences include working as a food service manager for a regional theme park, campaign manager for several state and federal campaigns, and a professional poker player. He served on the Presidents Council of the Higher Achievement Program and the Public Affairs Committee for the DC Board of Trade. Jonathan graduated from the University of Virginia law school. He and his wife Tara have two young sons, Alexander and Samuel.

I was raised in Southern California and married Katherine, the love of my life in 1979. We have five children and eight grandchildren, and counting... We raised our family in Mesa Arizona where I have worked my entire career. I have been involved with everything from Little League to United Way to junior high musicals, where I played the trumpet in the pit.. I love what I do. I give people peace of mind, setting up a Plan so their family won't have to hassle with a probate case. I especially enjoy helping small business owners and licensed professionals separate their personal wealth from their potential liabilities.

I married my wonderful wife in 2002 and we have three daughters.  As such, I am clearly outnumbered in the house.  I am active in the bankruptcy bar and Bankruptcy Inn of Court.  My hobbies include indoor archery, firearms training and Sayoc Kali.

I graduated from Arizona State University College of Law, cum laude. During law school, I was the Associate Editor for the Arizona State Law Journal and interned for the Honorable Michael Daly Hawkins, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.. I was formerly a professional baseball player with the Anaheim Angels organization after being selected in the 1999 Major League Baseball draft. The years of hard work and perseverance to excel at a professional level has guided my law pratice and advocacy on behalf of my clients.. Today I represent individuals and corporations in state and federal court on various issues and have successfully litigated numberous complex business and financial matters recovering millions for my clients.

Carolyn R. Tatkin brings to the Firm over 25 years of broad legal experience in areas including insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, construction defect litigation, general business and commercial litigation, as well as a concentration in business and consumer bankruptcy law. Her experience includes both trial and appellate work in state and federal courts, encompassing all aspects of motion practice and oral advocacy, including oral arguments before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. Ms. Tatkin has also been a presenter and co-author of materials for several state and county bar sponsored bankruptcy seminars, from basic to more advanced levels of bankruptcy expertise.. Carolyn is originally from Ohio, where she graduated from Ohio State University and Cleveland Marshall College of Law. Her horses are her lifelong hobby and her passion. She lives in Scottsdale with her husband, teenage son and daughter, dogs, cat and horses.
