HAVING BEEN IN LAW ENFORCEMENT GIVES ME A KEEN UNDERSTANDING OF THE ISSUES AND STRESSES THAT CAUSE OR RESULT FROM DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ITS EFFECTS ON THE VICTIM AND HIS/HER CHILDREN.
