MOST DO NOT KNOW, I WAS A DEPUTY SHERIFF IN FLORIDA, WHILE IN GRADUATE SCHOOL, PRIOR TO COMING TO CALIFORNIA TO GO TO LAW SCHOOL.. I WAS A UNIFORMED PATROL SHIFT SUPERVISOR AND THE SUPERVISOR OF THE JUVENILE SECTION. HAVING BEEN IN LAW ENFORCEMENT GIVES ME A KEEN UNDERSTANDING OF THE ISSUES AND STRESSES THAT CAUSE OR RESULT FROM DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ITS EFFECTS ON THE VICTIM AND HIS/HER CHILDREN.
