Not satisfied, I decided to continue my education at the University of Detroit Mercy Law School in August of 2004 to pursue my Juris Doctorate. While in law school, I was able to gain significant experience in both the law office and the courtroom. I worked as a law clerk for an Oakland County creditor's rights firm as well as serving as a member of the University of Detroit Mercy's Urban Law Clinic. The Urban Law Clinic provides legal services to indigent residents of the surrounding community, primarily in the City of Detroit. The Clinic was the first opportunity I had to work with elder members of society and provided the foundation for my area of practice today. In the courtroom, I served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Mark S.
