Originally from Anaheim, California, I moved to Spokane to attend Gonzaga University for my undergraduate degree.  After graduation, I attended George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia.  I started my career as a prosecutor for the City of Fredericksburg, Virginia.  I moved back to Spokane in 2010 and became licensed to practice law in Washington.

Megan is a Partner with Etter, McMahon, Lamberson, Van Wert & Oreskovich.  Megan specalizes in all aspects of municipal law and defense including condemnation, land use and zoning, public records, State and Federal compliance, Constitutional issues, as well as employment defense. Prior to joining Etter McMahon, Megan was an Assistant City Attorney with the City of Coeur d'Alene. As a prosecutor, Megan was active in the courtroom, gaining valuable experience in pre-trial and trial settings. Megan is active in the Spokane County Bar Association, Washington Women Lawyers, and as an alumni of Gonzaga Law.  Megan is a member of the Washington State Association of Municipal Attorneys and is a member of the WSAMA  Amicus Committee.  For 2019-2022, Megan was selected as a SuperLawyer - Rising Star for her practice in State, Local and Municipal Law.. Megan graduated from Gonzaga Law in 2013 with honors. While at Gonzaga, Megan was the Editor-in-Chief of the Gonzaga Journal of International Law and active in the Women's Law Caucus.  Megan was an intern with the Spokane County Prosecutor's Office and the law firm of Koegen Edwards.. Prior to law school, Megan graduated from New York University in 2007 and returned to her hometown of Long Beach, California. Megan was a legal assistant in Long Beach with a prominent litigation firm for three years. There, she learned the practical skills necessary in the legal profession; skills she still utilizes to this day.

I am currently City Prosecutor for the City of Spokane. I have practiced law for fourteen years, all with the City of Spokane. During that time, I have prosecuted many types of criminal cases, including, but not limited to DUI's, Assaults, Thefts, Traffic Infractions and Domestic Violence offenses. My goal in criminal prosecution is to seek justice, whatever that might be.

Angelle Gerl graduated from Gonzaga Law School in 2009 and is licensed to practice law in California, Washington, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. Angelle has experience as a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney - giving her a unique perspective on the criminal justice system. She has also held positions as a Department of Licensing Hearing Officer and a Pro Tem Administrative Law Judge for the Office of Administrative Hearings. Angelle has been the Municipal Prosecutor for the City of Cheney since 2014 and the Municipal Prosecutor for the City of Medical Lake since 2019.  Angelle takes private cases as well representing landlords across Spokane County and handling contractual disputes.  She is also active in her legal community holding positions on the Executive Committee of the Criminal Law Section of the bar association, Juvenile Offender Sub-Committee of the Juvenile Law Section of the bar association, and volunteering as the Director of the Cheney Youth Court.
