Thanks for taking a look at my profile.. Before becoming an attorney I served for 10 years in the United States Air Force as an Spanish Airborne Cryptologic Linguist. After nearly 2 years of training, I was stationed in the Republic of Panama for just over 3 years and flew over 2000 hours on C-130 Hercules aircraft as an enlisted crewmember. I spent the balance of my second enlistment in San Angelo, Texas, at the Cryptologic Technical Training Center, Goodfellow AFB, where I was the NCO in Charge of Air Force Cryptologic training. I was a Technical Sergant (E-6) and a Master Training Instructor when I got out.. My wife and I moved to Spokane, WA, where she worked for Hastings Entertainment and I attended Gonzaga University School of Law. We have been here ever since.. In addition to being a Zag Basketball Fan, I am a Third Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo. I was the Head Instructor and owner of Spokane Kenpo Karate, an affilliate of the American Kenpo Training Association for a number of years. I had to turn over the leadership of my school because of my work schedule.

Practice focused on land use, environmental, business and real property law. Represent clients in contested administrative appeals before hearing examiners, city and county councils, state administrative boards and handle appeals in state and federal courts. Representations include all types of land use and environmental litigation including appeals of permits and approvals, challenges to regulatory authorities, and defending against permit violations. Also, advise municipal clients in drafting GMA-required development regulations and land use ordinances. Provide development advice on projects that involve planning, permitting, storm water, and water rights.  Provide general counsel, corporate and business service to large and small business owners.

Megan is a Partner with Etter, McMahon, Lamberson, Van Wert & Oreskovich.  Megan specalizes in all aspects of municipal law and defense including condemnation, land use and zoning, public records, State and Federal compliance, Constitutional issues, as well as employment defense. Prior to joining Etter McMahon, Megan was an Assistant City Attorney with the City of Coeur d'Alene. As a prosecutor, Megan was active in the courtroom, gaining valuable experience in pre-trial and trial settings. Megan is active in the Spokane County Bar Association, Washington Women Lawyers, and as an alumni of Gonzaga Law.  Megan is a member of the Washington State Association of Municipal Attorneys and is a member of the WSAMA  Amicus Committee.  For 2019-2022, Megan was selected as a SuperLawyer - Rising Star for her practice in State, Local and Municipal Law.. Megan graduated from Gonzaga Law in 2013 with honors. While at Gonzaga, Megan was the Editor-in-Chief of the Gonzaga Journal of International Law and active in the Women's Law Caucus.  Megan was an intern with the Spokane County Prosecutor's Office and the law firm of Koegen Edwards.. Prior to law school, Megan graduated from New York University in 2007 and returned to her hometown of Long Beach, California. Megan was a legal assistant in Long Beach with a prominent litigation firm for three years. There, she learned the practical skills necessary in the legal profession; skills she still utilizes to this day.
