I am an Assistant Professor at Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, Oklahoma in the department of Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, & Homeland Security,and I also currently hold the part-time position as prosecutor for the Court of Indian Offenses in Miami, Oklahoma, I recently published an article in the Oklahoma Bar Journal entitled "Advice for the Oklahoma Family Law Practition Following the Baby Veronica Case." I was Attorney General of the Cherokee Nation for over five years, and aI lso served at the Nation in other offices, including General Counsel. I was also an Assistant Attorney General in the State of Oklahoma for a number of years. I was a member of the inaugural class of the Oklahoma Bar Association leadership academeny, have been recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus by NEO A&M College, and received the Cherokee Patriot Award. I am 1/4 Cherokee, the mother of three adult children, and grandmother of three adorable grandchildren.
