While not at work, I lead an equally demanding life, as an active member of my local church and church youth programs. In my free time, i enjoy walking my dogs, Kora and Daisy, reading up on the latest news in electronics and gadgets, golfing, swimming, studying American and world history, and debating polotics with my colleagues and friends. Also, I am a blue blooded BYU football fan.. My wife Brenda and I have been happily married since 1994 and moved to Mesa in 2002 after graduating Cum Laude from J. Ruben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University.. While I was an Associate of the lawfirm Lewis & Roca LLP, I worked closely with Kevin Goff, and in 2007, entered into Goff and Douglas, PC together. Initially we focused practicing primarily corporate real estate, representing larger clients such as Max Brenner Chocolate by the Bald Man, Pei Wei Asain Diner, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, The Habit Burger Grill, Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill, and others.. In late 2008, we made the decision to expand our practice into Bankruptcy, an area both Kevin and I had interest in and were excited to practice.. Since then, we have opened a second office in Apache Junction and brought on board a new Associate Nick Van Vleet, to help us handle the volume of bankruptcy work that has flown in over the past 2 years.. I'm so satisfied with my work and enjoy knowing that I am using my understanding of the law to help my community and look forward to many more years of serving the people therein.

Throughout my career, I have successfully represented clients in negotiations, mediations, litigation, and appeals in many areas of the law, including bankruptcy law (consumer and commercial); family law (divorce, child-support, parenting time); education law (cases under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and under section 504 of the Americans with Disabilities Act); dependency and severance-of-parental-rights cases; unemployment insurance compensation cases; consumer fraud cases; and more.  I have always taken a "client first" approach, ensuring that clients fully understand their case, their options, and the reasons for my recommendations and actions on their behalf.. Professional Experience. Tom’s practice over the past 35 years has been extremely varied.. He’s practiced in complex litigation, hearings and trials in state courts, federal courts, and bankruptcy courts, in private arbitrations, mediations and appeals. He also has substantial experience representing debtors, creditors, trustees and committees in Bankruptcy Court and has successfully reorganized several companies and individuals, and represented creditors.. Tom started his practice in 1981 at Treon, Warnicke, Dann & Roush of Phoenix (after having been a law clerk there for two years) in the commercial practice section, where he was trained in litigation and trial skills by two former Maricopa County Superior Court judges. He started what became a substantial bankruptcy practice in 1982 when he represented Clifford Wolfswinkel in bankruptcy court in his dispute with his brothers. After that, he continued doing work in the bankruptcy court in several commercial cases.. Tom left the Treon firm in 1987 to practice in Chandler as Littler & Miller for a short time before forming Warnicke & Littler, P.L.C. in 1989 to perform the bankruptcy examination of Charlie Keating’s American Continental Corporation.. After twenty three years with his own firm, he joined the Las Vegas firm of Gordon Silver in March of 2010 to open and build its first Arizona office. He left Gordon Silver in August, 2013 to practice as a sole practitioner in order to provide less expensive and more personal service to his clients.. Tom was a judge pro tem of the Maricopa County Superior Court presiding over mediations and jury trials for fifteen years.. --. Personal Life. Tom was born in Buffalo, New York on October 10, 1954. He moved to Phoenix with his family in 1957.  He went to grade school in west Phoenix and graduated from West Phoenix High School in 1972.  He played the drums in both grade school and in the marching band at West High.  Tom obtained his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in General Business Administration from the ASU College of Business in 1978 and graduated from the Arizona State University School of Law in 1981.  In law school he was on the Moot Court Board, was a member of the Order of the Coif, and participated every year as a writer and actor in the annual Law Follies. Tom now resides in Tempe.. Tom is married and has three children. His daughter, who graduated from the University of Southern California (English; Creative Writing) and Kings College, London (English Literature) is an editor at St. Martin’s Press in New York City; his son graduated from New York University (Dramatic Writing) and is a writer-producer living in New York City. His fourteen-year-old daughter was adopted from China and attends Basis Ahwatukee.. In his free time, Tom runs half marathons (ten so far), plays the drums (drum set in the basement), reads all kinds of literature – especially biographies, history and politics – and travels the world.

My name is Glenn Roethler.  I am originally from the Puyallup area of Washington State.  I grew up on a small farm where I learned to appreciate diligence and hard work.. I paid my way through school by working in construction.  I have assisted in building several houses from start to finish while working for my Grandfather's construction company.. I have many outdoor interests.  Of these, motorcycle riding has become my chief hobby.  I also struggle with playing guitar and would like to start struggling to play drums (I am sure the neighbors will appreciate it).

I have  over 20 years of experience in representing individuals and small businesses in bankruptcy. In fact, representing individuals and small businesses in bankruptcy cases is all that I do. We have a proven track record in obtaining successful results for our clients. We recently reviewed the records at the Phoenix Bankruptcy Court for the period of March 1, 2011 through April 30, 2011 to see how our sucess rate compared to other attorney's. We found that 100% of the Chapter 13 Plan's filed by McDonald Law Offices were approved by the court within 12 months of the filing of the case. The average time that it took our plans to be approved was 7.3 months.  When we looked at other attorney's we found that only 29.7% of the plans filed by all other attorney's combined were approved within 12 months of the filing of the case. Of the 29.7% that were approved, it took an average of 10.2 months to obtain approval. Surprisingly, 14% of the cases filed by other attorney's were rejected by the court within 12 months of the case being filed.
