Mr. Deason received his undergraduate degree at Loyola Marymount University graduating cum laude. He then taught high school and went on to earn his law degree from Loyola Law School in December of 1982. Six months later, Mr. Deason was admitted to practice law after passing the California Bar exam. Upon passing the bar, Mr. Deason started as an associate lawyer at the Law Offices of Edwin C. Martin, Jr. He soon became a partner of the firm, which changed names to Martin & Deason, in 1987. After Mr. Martin retired in 1994, Mr. Deason changed the name of the practice to the Law Offices of Edward J. Deason.

I am also member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association where I serve as a member of the Bench and Bar Committee. The Bench and Bar Committee serves as a liaison between the judges and the attorneys which practice as members of the LACBA. I am also a former director of the South Bay Bar Association where I chaired the litigation committee. I have served on numerous charitable foundations including the Peninsula Education Foundation where I served as trustee and chaired the endowment committee.. I have taught and lectured other attorneys at California Mandatory Continuing Legal Education courses on topics ranging from phantom income, complex cash flow and business valuations to domestic violence and child custody.. In my spare time I enjoy traveling with my wife Linda and three beautiful children Taylor, Ashley and Derek. I am also an avid waterman and enjoy surfing and sailing.
