After leaving the Federal sector, Shannon served as a Contract Attorney for several large law firms and legal placement agencies and served as Faculty/Legal Advisor for a Gallup certified training and coaching corporation. Yearning to get back to her passion of service, her career path took a twist — her focus shifted from building legacies and serving through fair work environments to creating legacies through Estate Planning.
