She then transitioned her State practice to the United States Federal Government, where she served as an Attorney and Representation Specialist with the Office of the General Counsel for the Federal Labor Relations Authority. In that capacity, she investigated and prosecuted unfair labor practice charges, and conducted hearings and elections for federal employee collective bargaining units. She was dedicated to helping families and communities thrive through maintaining fair work environments.. After leaving the Federal sector, Shannon served as a Contract Attorney for several large law firms and legal placement agencies and served as Faculty/Legal Advisor for a Gallup certified training and coaching corporation. Yearning to get back to her passion of service, her career path took a twist — her focus shifted from building legacies and serving through fair work environments to creating legacies through Estate Planning.
