Through zealous representation of my clients I have won hundreds and hundreds of cases. My comprehensive knowledge of the Social Security law and regulations coupled with my diligent development of my cases has made me one of the top representatives in the Tulsa area. I graduated with distinction from the University of Oklahoma in 2001 where I was bestowed with the honor of the Maehl Award. I then graduated with distinction from the University of Oklahoma, College of Law in 2004 with two academic achievement awards. During law school, I served as the business manager of the Oklahoma Journal of Law and Technology and was a member of the American Indian Law Review. During law school I graduated from the Interdisciplinary Training Program through the University of Oklahoma Health and Science Center College of Medicine. I am admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Oklahoma, Northern District of Oklahoma, Eastern District of Oklahoma, and the 10th Circuit US Court of Appeals. I am a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives (NOSSCR). I am frequently asked to speak at seminars, support groups, and mental health facilities in the Tulsa Metro area on matters relating to Social Security disability benefits.. Every day I encounter people who have had their lives turned upside down by medical conditions that have left them unable to work. Through no fault of their own, they're left to suffer not only with a condition they didn't ask for but some are even pushed into financial hardship, because they can no longer work. Let's face it, the bills don't stop coming in the mail, just because someone can't work. Some react to a situation like this with a hopeless attitude, but others take a more optimistic attitude and try to get help from any and every source possible. Since January of 2005, I have had the privilege of working with hundreds and hundreds of individuals looking to navigate the complex, bureaucratic mess that is the Social Security System. My system of taking clients individually and walking them through the maze of red tape and getting them approved for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and/or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) has been very successful. Unlike most attorneys who will take on any case of any variety, I choose to focus only on SSI and SSDI cases. in fact, it is all I do. (I like to think this gives me an advantage, since I can address all of my cases with laser focus.). I grew up in a small town in rural New Mexico. I attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Psychology. I then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend law school at the University of Tulsa College of Law.. I have a wife and four children. When I'm not battling at work to protect the rights and dignities of clients, I enjoy being at home with them. My hobbies and interests include raising backyard chickens, gardening and doing home improvement projects.. Having been preparing bankruptcy cases for the last 5 years, I have filed more than five hundred Chapter 7 cases to date. I enjoy the practice of bankruptcy because it allows me to truly help people at the time of their greatest financial need. My bankruptcy practice focuses on individual consumers with personal debt as well as small businesses needing to liquidate.. I also have a robust Social Security Disability practice where I have represented clients in close to one hundred Social Security hearings since I began practicing Social Security law. I have helped Social Security claimants get benefits who have both physical and mental disabilities. I enjoy this practice because it allows me to help those whose circumstances have rendered them unable to work. I'm an advocate for those who have spent their whole working lives paying into an insurance system (our Social Security Disability system) that has now denied them the benefit of that insurance at the time of their greatest need.. I also work with Personal Injury clients that have been injured, due to no fault of their own, and help them get the treatment and compensation they need and deserve.
